Where did your passion for horses come from and how long have you been riding?
I started riding at 7 years of age. Horses and riding are just something I have always wanted to do.

What is your earliest childhood memory with riding and owning horses?
I got my first pony for my 7th birthday, so I guess that would be it!

How did you choose your discipline?
For me, it was a natural progression from Hacking to Dressage.

Do you have any role models in the industry that have helped shape the competitor you are today?
My trainers, Malcolm Ansell and Clemens Dierks.

You have had much success in your career, is there a particular achievement that you are most proud of?
It would have to be representing Australia at WEG 2014.

What other accomplishments do you hope to achieve in your career?
I would love to go to Rio 2016!

How much time and training you do you put in prior to an event?
A lifetime!

Do you still get nervous? If so, how do you calm your nerves prior to an event?
Absolutely! I don’t calm my nerves, you just have to learn to perform with it.

How do you find time to look for new horses and what do you look for in a Groom?
I am always on the lookout for new horses at competitions, clinics etc. A groom requires experience, integrity, loyalty and a strong work ethic.

What products do you use to ensure the best performance from your horses?
I use Barastoc Calm Performer & Cool Command.

What advice do you have for young riders starting out?
Look after your horse!

When you are not busy with your horses, what other things do you like to do in your spare time?
I am never not busy with horses, they are my life.
